Man shot dead in Serb minister's home

BELGRADE, Apr 29, 2000 -- (Reuters) A man moving furniture from the house of the Serbian finance minister was shot dead by a burglar he surprised in the minister's house on Friday, Belgrade media reported.

"Radivoje Lukac, 43, an employee at Koling, was killed by an unknown gunman in the house of Serbian Finance Minister Borislav Milacic," Belgrade television station Studio B said.

Koling, a firm of architects, was headed by Milacic before he became finance minister.

Studio B said the man arrived with two others to move out some furniture and found the masked burglar in Milacic's house. The burglar fired four gunshots and then escaped.
