NOVA MAKEDONIJA

As part of reforms, the Macedonian government is planning to cut the number of ministries from 21 to fifteen or sixteen.

General manager of Prilep-based marble plant Nikola Stefkov and financial manager Lidija Mladenovic were arrested for a tax fraud.

The government's new three-year plan for the public sector foresees investment of $921 million in infrastructure.

OSCE High Commissioner For National Minorities Max van der Stoel, during his two-day visit to Macedonia, will meet President Boris Trajkovski, Prime Minister Ljubco Georgievski and other senior government officials.

DNEVNIK

Macedonian Trade Minister Milijana Danevska said UNMIK will secure shipments of Macedonian goods to Kosovo.

The UNHCR is not allowing the Bahtiri family (refugees from Kosovo now living in the U.S.) to take their new-born daughter Fitore Bahtiri with them, even though UNHCR knew about the pregnancy, only because her name was not in the documents.
