Serb man shot dead in Southeast Kosovo
PRISTINA, Apr 10, 2000 -- (AFP) A Serbian man was shot dead in the southeastern Kosovo town of Gjnilane shortly after midday Sunday (1000 GMT), a KFOR spokesman said.
The man was shot in the abdomen and was reported dead on arrival at the local hospital, US army Staff Sergeant Jonathan Crane said.
The suspect was wearing dark clothing but was otherwise so far unidentified, Crane added.
The independent Yugoslav agency Beta identified the victim as Dobri Jovanovic, aged 40.
The agency said he was shot several times by a group of Albanians outside his home, after which the attackers fled.
