EU to open food aid tenders to Serbia, Montenegro

BRUSSELS, Feb 2, 2000 -- (Reuters) The European Commission said on Tuesday it would open three separate food aid tenders to benefit Serbia and Montenegro on Wednesday.

The two remaining partners in the Yugoslav Federation would receive 4,664 tons of common wheat flour, 1,000 tons of white sugar and 3,000 tons of refined rapeseed or sunflower oil, the EU's Official Journal said.

The wheat flour would be shipped in one lot and free at port of shipment, it added.

The first and second deadlines for the submission of bids for all three tenders were given as February 15 and 29, while supply deadlines ranged from March 13 to April 23.
