Russian soldier killed by electric shockAlbanian Economic Tribune - Jan 18, 2000
PRISHTINA - A Russian soldier was killed by electric shock while on duty in Kosovo, a spokesman for the international peacekeeping force KFOR said.
The 28-year-old driver and electrician from a signals company, whose identity was not released, was the 22nd soldier from the multinational force to die on duty in the post-war Kosovo, KFOR said in a statement.
Most of the other fatalities occurred in traffic accidents, although several were also killed by landmines, said Major Peter Gothe. An investigation into the Russians death on Thursday was underway, he said.
