Kosovar leader says Albanian agents in KosovoAlbanian Economic Tribune - Jan 07, 2000
TIRANA - Bujar Bukoshi, head of a self-styled Kosovo-Albanian government, said on Wednesday that agents from Albania proper are in Kosovo trying to destabilise the province, the German news agency DPA reported.
Bukoshi, who lives in a self-imposed exile in Germany, said the agents work for the Albanian secret service and are "walking freely on the roads of Prishtina."
Bukoshi is involved in a long-running dispute with Albanias current Socialist leaders, who backed the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) during its armed insurgence against Serbian forces and now support former KLA leader Hashim Thaci, who is Bukoshis rival.
