West connives with genocide in Kosovo - Ivanov -- adds

MOSCOW, November 30 (Itar-Tass) - We are facing genocide against national minorities in Kosovo, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said on Tuesday, commenting on reports about repressions against Serbs in Kosovo.

"All this is taking place with silent agreement of Western countries. Neither Berlin, nor Washington, nor London, nor Paris have denounced the actions of separatists in Kosovo," Ivanov said. "Moreover, they are trying to create the impression that all is great in Kosovo."

This policy of appeasement with regards to the Albanian terrorists is fraught with grave consequences for the Balkans. Russia, as the permanent member of the U.N Security Council, will not tolerate this situation and is planning to raise the Kosovo issue at a meeting of the U.N. Security Council shortly so as measures be taken to ensure the implementation of the Security Council resolution 1244, Ivanov stressed.
